Quest Games / Space Odyssey: Fortune's Feast
« on: February 19, 2018, 03:13:11 AM »
Hi everyone!  I'm back with a quick demo for a game I've spent a long time working on.

It may seem fairly short but there's a lot of technical stuff I had to learn in Quest to make it, hence the long period of waiting since my last release.  Anyways, it's a game about getting fat.  IN SPACE!

Here's my newest text adventure game!  It's all about a girl named Emma and her various debauchery on the most spooky of nights.

It's pretty straightforward and I can't imagine anyone would get stuck, but the endings are all pretty different and I encourage everyone to try and find them.

Quest Games / Fantastic Dungeon Extender for American Audiences (TM)
« on: February 17, 2017, 09:01:40 AM »

-Second Floor is finished
-Lyra side quest is finished
-Saida (Sacrificial Elf) has a purpose besides the Sacrificial Chamber scene
-Game Finale is in place
-Two possible endings based on whether or not you're holding a particular item (There is also a third ending to be found...)

-Hopefully fixed the Rax/Card Dealer bug
-Changed how the prize table works- Basically, you're no longer forced to pick between the Electric Torch or the War Hammer, as I didn't think it was fun- and also, I sorta forgot how I structured and made it so you can only get to the end if you pick the torch.  OOPS
-Moved the all too convenient coin from the fancy hallway to somewhere on the second level, so you can't break the game that easily.  I think I made it so you can still get through the game no matter what happens, but... I dunno.  Let me know if you end up stuck.

I will taper some expectations upfront by saying I went with the "Diamond" philosophy with the game- Tight, guided beginning, broad middle section for exploring, then back to tight, "on-rails" sequences for the end.  This is for two reasons:

9/2 update:

All three routes are now bug free and accessible.  Passwords have been implemented to "skip" to endings if you hate redoing everything for the hundredth time.  Info can be found on page 11 of this thread.

Hi everyone!

My game, "Anyways, Here's Butterball"- a Thanksgiving stuffing adventure, is finally complete!

The game is fairly straightforward- go around, talk to relatives, and either gorge yourself on Thanksgiving treats, or hold back and make it through the day resisting temptation.

Hopefully you guys enjoy it!  If there are any bugs, or you have any questions, feel free to ask them here.

Quest Games / My commissions list (updated as they come)
« on: September 15, 2016, 07:32:49 PM »
Hey everyone!  I assure you, work on Life of Kriss: Day Two is underway, but in the meantime, I'd like to share two short interactive that were commissioned from me.

The first is a fairly simple interactive involving a woman named Marla that gained several pounds over the past few months, and involves going through a fairly average day for her:

The second is much more... Dynamic, I guess.  It's essentially a "make various parts of a girl grow through magic" type thing, and is much more description based than story based:

This third one involves a NEET woman:

Just figured I'd share them, since there's no reason I shouldn't- the original commissioner said they were fine with me sharing them to the world.

a side note/ self-plug, I'm currently working on a write-up for commission prices involving interactive stories and regular ones- if you're interested on prices, just message me on here, I'd like to think I'm pretty reasonable about prices v. length of the interactive.  But in the mean time, enjoy the two freebies I'm giving you here!

Alright, Ive got a few commissions to bang out before I can take more.

Dev Updates / Life of Kriss, Day One (Complete)
« on: August 25, 2016, 07:46:35 PM »
Well, after lots of blood, sweat and tears, Day One of Life of Kriss is completed.

Lots and lots and LOTS of stuff in this update, including the end of the game, a few new secrets, plenty of new dialogue and stuff to mess with.

Since the game is now complete, I'll put spoilers in the end of this post for the quickest way to complete the game, and in a separate spoiler, what triggers the different endings.

Spoiler for Hidden:
Go to bathroom
Take antacid from medicine cabinet
go to closet
put on shorts
go to spare room
take can of beer
go to Jamie's room
Bribe Jamie
Take Jamies Cell Phone
Go downstairs
Go to master bathroom
look at toilet
smash porcelain babies
go to kitchen
steal Wendys feast
Go to bedroom
Unpack Wendys
Use all 3 items

That's the straight-forward way to complete the game.

The three items that will increase the "rating" at the end of the game are:

Spoiler for Hidden:
Opening the fridge
Trying to "take" the trash in the closet
Finding all three small keys and opening the safe in the Master Bedroom

Dev Updates / Day One, V0.4.1
« on: August 06, 2016, 09:06:47 PM »

-Made the "cheat codes"/Safe Keypad almost impossible to not to figure out.

No, seriously.  I took screenshots that pop up within the game and show you exactly what to type in the box before you hit enter, if people still have problems I don't know what to do.

-Made both mirrors work the same way, IE give out very detailed descriptions based off every single variable within the game

-Minor spelling errors fixed

Hey y'all, this is probably the second-to-last "official" update for Day One- The next update will be the final, followed by a whole new game, which is a sequel: Day Two!

Here's what's included in this update:

u V0.4.0

-Added several new items.

-removed DEUS EX MACHINA- your mortal eyes couldn't handle it, BUUUUT:+

+added "hint book" in it's place, think of Cheato but not sentient.  Sapient?  I dunno which one.

-New Easter Eggs

-Added new item in spare room, SNES, which involves a new weird little "Minigame" style location.

-Added new "Small key" item(s), which can be found and used... Somewhere ;D
+Two are pretty easy to find, one involves a certain level of bloat and a certain item, if no one finds it in the first few days I'll probably outline how to find it.

-Finished how the Wendy's feast works- if you can use it successfully you'll get the "official" ending.

Lemme know about bugs, etc.

« on: July 08, 2016, 07:29:19 PM »

This one took a long time, is significantly more complex, has a BUNCH of new items/interactions, and is probably broken eight ways to Sunday, but I've tested it enough and I feel like putting it out!

+++Must have hairpin, then use "pick lock" in hallway (I accidentally broke the old way)

Dev Updates / Life of Kriss, Day One (Version 0.1.0)
« on: June 30, 2016, 07:41:41 AM »
Here's the update list for the current version!  I'm really excited, because this was a very substantial update and took a significantly longer time than the initial version of the game.

Update v0.1.0

Your Bedroom

-Added new item- Dresser
+++Added 3 new items within dresser

-New mirror functionality!  mirror now displays 4 different messages, depending on certain

factors (clothing, consumption of certain items)

Your Bathroom

-Slightly changed how antacid works
+++You just use it, instead of taking it, THEN using it.

The Spare Room

-Made the futon actually function

Jamie's Room

-Completely rewrote/recoded Jamie
+++Please please PLEASE lemme know if she breaks, I did a lot more advanced "coding" than I'm used to, and it's very possible I broke the shit out of her.

-Added 1 new item to Jamie's room

Hallway Closet

-Added new room!  Hallway closet, which requires an item to open.
+++certain "statuses" will prevent you from going in

-Added 4 new items to the hallway closet.

Jamies Bathroom

-Added new room!  Jamies Bathroom, which you can go into once revealed...

-Added five new items to Jamies bathroom

-Added/updated several descriptions, including
+++ Many items have a different printout the second time you try to do them/look at them
+++ bolded a few items/actions in descriptions, as a sort of "hint" system

-Updated game information, fleshed out other characters

-Removed Bag of Chips, it wasn't really doing anything

-Removed ability to drink from Sink until I think of a reason to actually do it.

The Life of Kriss / Day One: Current Version/Game Details
« on: June 30, 2016, 05:20:10 AM »
Current Version:

You start the game as Kristine- AKA Kriss.

You're a 20-something year old woman who, over the past few months, have gotten bored with your previous lifestyle of running, working out, and watching what you ate.

So you just stopped.

For the most part, it's worked out alright- although the snide comments from friends and family have been annoying.  Even your boyfriend has been a bit of an ass about it...  You're not sure how long that particular relationship going to last, though.

You currently live at home with your family (unfortunately) although you've been saving up your cash from your job at the local Bookstore for an apartment.

Residing in your house is:

-Jamie, your absolute nightmare of a sister:

She's just finished her freshman year of college, and her attitude has changed from slightly obnoxious to overwhelmingly bitchy.  She's gained a bit of weight in the past year- namely, the "Freshman Fifteen" plus a little extra on the side.  She's very possessive of her stuff, and although you used to be kind of close, she now acts like she hates your guts.  This is most likely due to your Stepmom.

-Laney, your absolutely, undeniably horrible Stepmom:

Laney is a bitch.  She loves your sister a lot.  She hates your guts.  That's all there is to say.  You try not to say her name, since there's always a chance she'll appear in a puff of fire and brimstone.  Seriously, she sucks.  She also gets on your case about your weight all the fuckin' time, even though she never, EVER get's on Jamie's case.

-Ron, your father:

He's a nice guy, seriously!  You love your dad.  Problem is, he works crazy shifts.  Some days, he's at work for two hours.  Other days, he's at work for what seems like two weeks- making himself very scarce around the house, since he usually comes home just to sleep.

Outside the house is:
-Jason, your boyfriend:

He, uh.   He's your boyfriend.  You had begun dating after a weird experience at the beach... Back when you were basically a twig of a girl, and you had a hopless crush on his toned frame...  You've obviously been chubbing up a bit as of late, and, while he hasn't commented on it, he's definitely been very stand-offish as of late.  You haven't been... intimate... In almost 3 weeks, despite seeing him three or four times a week.

-Trish, your co-worker:

Trish works at the Bookstore with you, she's pretty cool.  She's chubbier- think of Velma from Scooby-Doo, but with a better fashion sense.  Her frame has always been "boxy"- average boobs, bit of a belly, average butt and hips.  The few times you've bitched about your weight, she's been pretty chill about your gain over the past few months,  making you feel more confident than you probably should have.  Sometimes you'll grab dinner with her, although you both tend to pig out.

-Meghan, your best friend:

You and Meghan go way back.  She's been in your life since high school, and she used to be your workout buddy.  You've both eased off on the gym (you, especially) but whereas you've definitely pudged up over the past few months, Meghan has more or less stayed the same, just with slightly less definition.  Still, she's you're best friend, and you talk to her almost every day.

Board Request / The Life of Kriss
« on: June 29, 2016, 06:03:05 PM »
Hey, I started a small topic in the "Other Games" board, but since I'm actively working on it, I'd appreciate a board for my game that I'm rapidly approaching a major update on.

I plan on putting out "chapters" in a sense, namely denoting which day of her life is currently occurring.

Here's a link to the current day, Day One:

Version 0.1.0 is coming soon and is going to have a ton of new stuff!

I'd appreciate my own board so I can more actively interact with the community!
